Again I was chasing the blue hour but this at Beijing (China). After having a great dinner at Dadong (Sumptous Peking duck), Cathie, Ty and myself had to rush in this side of the Emperor's palace. Two duck disrupted the mirror reflection which they passed and I have to wait until the water stand still. The blue hour is fading already and it is already turning to purple. (On the other side I managed to have some blue hour shots earlier)
The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, China, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost five hundred years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.
Built in 1406 to 1420, the complex consists of 980 buildings with 8,707 bays of rooms[1] and covers 720,000 m2 (7,800,000 sq ft). Wikipedia

This area has served ad a royal summer home since the Jin dynasty, but not until Emperor Qianlong remodeled it for his mother in 1750 did it begin to assume its present shape. Twice sacked by foreign armies-in 1860and 1900-the Palace was twice rebuilt by the indefatigable Empress Cixi, the first time using funds earmarked for China’s navy. It also didn’t become The Summer Palace until nearby Yuanming Yuan, the Old Summer Palace was razed in 1860and left fallow as a symbol of foreign aggression against China.
